I finished Assassin's Creed III yesterday. SO MANY FEELS
I mean, from the very beginning I knew that Connor would kill his father. Still, it was hard ._.
I enjoyed the short time Connor and Haytham spent together, and for a while I thought maybe another end would be possible. Especially when they were infiltrating together and Haytham stated "He is my son" to the guard, and then Connors look at him.
But I liked the final scene, and how when Connor got up, Haythem got on his knees. It was paced perfectly.
I also liked how he finished off Charles Lee. Not in an action-y fashion, a simple assassination like on any victim, but how they were chasing each other, ending in both heavily wounded, then sitting on a table and Charles sharing the bottle with Connor. He accepted his defeat, and Connor had his long awaited revenge.
It felt good. But it also left me feeling kinda empty. With not only his nemesis gone, but also Achilles and his tribe, I felt... lonely.
NOW OFF TO THE DLC!
I still need to play through The Tyranny of King Washington, and haven't done most of the naval missions... so there's still plenty to do! So far I've spent 35 hours in the game, more than in any other AC.
My AC ranking so far:
1. Assassin's Creed
2. Assassin's Creed 3
3. AC: Revelations
4. Assassin's Creed 2
5. AC: Brotherhood
