There goes my blue bead supply by Aenea-Jones There goes my blue bead supply by Aenea-Jones
:ohnoes:

Put my PS3 controller next to them so you get an idea of their size. Made those two yesterday night (or this morning :D) while watching DVDs.
They're taped and ready to get ironed :meow:

Hi Aeny~!
I really love your perler bead creations, and I was wondering if you could make a tutorial on how to properly tape down the bead sprites before ironing? I really want to try to get better at making larger bead creations, and I'd like to learn how to tape the beads down correctly because I know a lot of people use tape to keep the pegboards from melting and getting misshapen.
Thank you so much <3

There's not much to it, just make sure the stripes slightly overlap and run your fingers over it to make sure ALL beads are sticking to the tape. That's it :)

No :) The heat would deform them after a couple of ironing sessions... ^^;

I know but why do you have to tape them?

So they can be ironed properly :)
When you iron them on the peg boards, the heat will cause the boards to deform.

Wow.  I like how you added the controller for scale.  Those are HUGE!  Wait... maybe I did the ones I worked on wrong.   You make them and then tape the backside (or is it the front side)?  You don't have beads falling off?    What exactly is the process?

Yes, I use tape to make all the beads stick together, so when you remove it from the peg boards, the sprite is reversed. It's better than ironing them on the peg boards, as they easily deform.
Taping is easy, just make sure each strap is slightly overlapping ^^

Ah!  Maybe that's what didn't work for me.  I believe I've only tried ironing them on the peg board.  You're so smart. :)
