Okay, first off I love this piece. The proportions are all right, and his expression is really well done and makes me wonder what he's thinking.

Technique wise, there is a really good use of hatching and cross hatching within the image, which is used really well for the shadows, adding depth to the image. I also really like how you used rough lines to create the shape of the hair, making all of the individual strands and adding more detail to the image.

Overall, while it is not the most original thing ever, the overall vision and technique used within the image make it unneeded. The image is very well drawn, and you are a very skilled artist.
